            Look up the Census data of the sex ratio your district/state and compare it with the national sex ratio. What do you think are the reasons for the good or poor performance of your district/state in terms of sex ratio?

  1. The sex ratio of Tawang is far more greater than the nlational ratio. The reason behind is the social fabric and the societal mentality of our region. Our community do not distinguish between males and females as both are equally significant in a famuly

Sex ratio in respect of my District is higher than that of national ratio it is due to existence of old practice of rural areas where people believe that 2 or more than 2 sons is very much needed. Besides this people still used to remove girl child before delivery under the malpractice of some of doctor by paying huge money for the work.

  4. As in other districts of Arunachal Pradesh, the sex ratio of my district is very high. It can be attributed to the ages-old custom of treating daughters at par with sons and the absence of gender discrimination and dowry in our society.

  5. The sex ratio of my state is much more higher than the national sex ratio. Its because in our state particularly in my district at Shi Yomi there is no discrimination between girl and boy child. Both are treated equally in the society.

  6. The sex ratio in our state is more higher than the national level because in our state being born as a girl is not considered sin and baby girls are also welcomed happily like The baby boy. Our state do not discriminate between a girl and a boy

  8. Sex ratio of my district/state is better than national ratio. This may be due to the absence of gender discrimination in our society.

  9. The sex ratio in my Home district is more higher than national sex ratio due to unaware of family planning and population exploitation,
    Most villegers think that much spouse the have more help and support will be there in the work.
    The does not know how to take gap between two spouses.
    But now many people came to know all about it and drastically sex ratio is changing to Normality...

  10. Sex ratio in my state is far better than the national sex ratio. It is because their is no discrimination between boys and girls. Both boys and girls are given equal opportunities in every field. They are treated equally.

  11. Sex ratio is my district is better than national sex ratio . In my community there is no discrimination between girls and boys. Girls are treated equally like boys. Girls are given freedom and given equal rights to get education.

  12. Sex ratio in my district west kameng shows 819 female for 1000 male. But I think this ratio is completely natural as there is no background or practice of female infanticide or any other serious gender discrimination in our society. Position of female is better than other states of our country.

  13. Arunachal Pradesh has the best Male-Female Gender Ratio in India.
    With 1,084 females born per thousand males, Arunachal Pradesh recorded the best sex ratio in India the previous year.
    In Arunachal Pradesh we generally find that girls are also given equal importance as boys.
    In my district too the sex ratio is high as both sexes are important hence there is no female foeticide unlike other states in India where giving birth to a girl child was considered as a curse and they were killed even before they were born.

  15. An official Census 2011 detail of West Kameng, a district of Arunachal Pradesh has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Arunachal Pradesh. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh.

    In 2011, West Kameng had population of 83,947 of which male and female were 46,155 and 37,792 respectively. In 2001 census, West Kameng had a population of 74,599 of which males were 42,542 and remaining 32,057 were females. West Kameng District population constituted 6.07 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for West Kameng District was at 6.79 percent of Maharashtra population.

    There was change of 12.53 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, West Kameng District recorded increase of 32.22 percent to its population compared to 1991.
