ReplyDeleteToy Area need to have loose materials, low cost/no cost, environment material like cones,pines,dry seeds, plastic,child friendly scissors, empty jars....so on.
ReplyDeleteThis area must have age and developmentally appropriate traditional Indian toys which has easy accessibility to all children and do not forget to label the area as "MY TOY AREA".
By hanging D-I-Y toys on walls prepared by students. By hanging children's photograph engaged in designing something for their interest.
We can create a Toy Area in a corner of the classroom. We can place rugs for the children to sit on while playing. We should use materials and manipulatives that are age and developmentally-appropriate for the children. We can start with a few low-cost, locally available items like cones, leaves, feathers, local toys etc and add more things like puppets, blocks, puzzles, letter tiles, games and art materials as we go along. The materials/props should be kept organised using boxes, bins and shelves.
ReplyDeleteIn order to achieve good learning outcomes of the child a eco-friendly toy area must be developed in every classroom.The essential materials and manipulative to create Do It Yourself toy would be a rag of cloth,scissors,thread,needle,papers,pin,leaves,and many others thing that are plenty in immediate environment.

by hanging D-I-Y toys on walls prepared by students. Child's photo can be hanged/pasted in the said room which would encourage the children for full and hearty participation with peers and other children.
If given a chance to create toy room in the school, I would create the room nearby the staff corner room so that any facility whoever is available can catch up easily when the children is in need. The tools that I would prefer would be clay making , colour drawing . Papers scissor , block house etc etc.. it would help kids to attract more and make learning easy for mentors and teachers.
