Assessment is very important and necessary in teaching-learning process.Through this mechanism, only we can know and understand the learning outcomes of the learners.Mainly there are two kinds of assessments that's Formative and Summative assessment.But apart from the various assessment strategies,we would prefer to take forward some assessment practices in our classroom likewise building on-going portfolios,using standard-based benchmark or in-depth feedback to the learners.

  10. Assessments include paper and pencil tests, performance measures, evidence of positive effects on student learning, external reviews, and self-reports, some embedded in instruction and some summative in nature.
    Through assessment, students demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

  12. Along with assignments, project works, tests, homework, it is very important to establish good relationship with the students. Visualizations provide better way of understanding to the student's. Teaching should also include dramas, educational tours.

  13. Assessment is an integral part of the curriculum. We have to make a shift from ‘rote memorisation’ to ‘competency-based assessment’. Also, we must collect information about each child from his/her parents and previous teachers (if any).
    Assessment has to be planned, systematic, structured, learner-centred, timely, continuous and adaptive.
    Formal as well as informal forms of assessment can be used. For example, observation of children at work and play can help us assess their language, literacy and numeracy skills.
