    1. Every child is unique and different. Therefore, we teachers cannot expect all the children to learn at same pace. Our teaching strategies and techniques must be adjusted according to the learning needs of the children. In learner centered appraoch, the learning needs, weakness and strength of each and every child is identified and design the instruction according to that. It ensures that every child learns at his or her own pace. This is one of the benefits of using learner-centered approach.

  2. All the children needs equal attention. Some are quick in learning and some are very slow learners. Instructions are given to the children as a whole in the classroom but weak and slow learners to be divided among the quick learners so that they may learn from their friends too. As per my opinion, children learns quickly from their mates

  5. As a teacher,I tried to clear all the concepts and the doubts of the children. In Government schools generally children come from very poor background, their parents were also not aware of the education because most of the parents are illiterate. So, I focus on their reading and writing skills and basic necessities ,so that it can be helpful for them in their higher classes.I've always approach child centered learning so that it could be easier for the children to learn , know and understand the concept without any hesitation .I've always tried to build up their moral values by giving them a chance to speak in front of many children in a particular topic . So the benefit I saw in child centered learning was that the ability of the children got improved

  8. Reflecting on my student years, I always felt studying would be easier if I could have a means to see and understand what I was studying so I made it a point to make sure that my student understood through videos and reading so I asked my student to focus on variety educational computer games or videos and also mentioned many educational apps for students and this proved effective for many of my students. Yes, all children’s are provided with same set of instructions and they also have fixed testing schedules. Learner-centered approach benefits the student as they are more interactive and learner is self paced , it also improves the knowledge retention of the student and enhances problem solving skills of the student and also encourage further learning but most importantly it personalized one’s learning. The only limitation in this approach is that it requires the ability of teacher’s to create materials appropriate to learner’s expressed needs. It is just not limited to skills but also consume time and resources.

  16. The benefits and the limitations of using a learner-centered approach is the very same, in that, each and every child is unique. A child is shaped by the social, cultural, and physical environment they're brought up in. They're also different by their emotional and mental abilities. As a teacher, one has to consider all these and create the best approach to eliminate these differences in a classroom and teach and understand each one alike. This also means, a teacher will be required to work harder, think broadly, and it will also mean that such an approach will allow the teachers to think creatively and broaden their teaching skills.

  18. As a teacher I believe learner- centered approach is a good initiative, as by doing so we can focus on different children with different abilities or talent and help them better in what they are good at instead of letting everyone go through the same process. Eg. We cannot bring a monkey and make it swim or call a fish and say climb a tree , they are good at their place so I believe that Learner-centered approach will help students focus what they are good at.

In govt.schools, students generally belong from poor economy background and their parents are ignorant and unaware of education being illiterate. So, it is required that we as a teacher focus on their reading and writing skills and basic necessities ,so that it can be helpful for them in their higher classes. child centered learning is importantand need of the hour as it makes easier for the children to learn , know and understand the concept without any hesitation . As a teacher each and everyone of us should always try to build up their moral values by giving them a chance to present few words in front of many children on a particular topic . This will increase their self confidence, speech delivery .Infact, with the help of this Child centred learning, I personally observed and analysed that the ability of the children got improved..

  28. Yes, in my earlier days all children were provided the same set of instructions and had variation in testing schedules. As every child is unique and different. Therefore we teachers cannot expect all the children to learn at a same pace. In the learner- centered approach of learning, children can easily discuss about a problem amongst themselves, which they cannot fo it with Teachers. They learn more easily from their mates. This is the benefit of learner- centered
    Approach.

  31. Every child has his/her own abilities and weaknesses to concieve the lessons taught or works assigned to them as most of the students belonged to different religion, castes, language and dialects, socio-economic and cultural disparities. However, through learner centered approach and child centric approach we as a teacher minimize the gap between the haves and haven'ts by taking them in one fold and engage them together in reading, writing, play, etc. to achieve cent percent results in academic and co-curricular activities.

  32. Every child has unique and different way of learning process. Some children are first learning ability and others had slow learning ability. In some of the government school students are from very poor family. And also some of the parents were illiterate and couldn't care their child in the home about their home assignments given by the teacher.so as teacher we must understand the child ability and uniqueness. So Learner-centered approach benefits the student as they are more interactive and learner is self paced , it also improves the knowledge retention of the student and enhances problem solving skills of the student and also encourage further learning but most importantly it personalized one’s learning.

  33. We teacher can not expect to all the children to learn at same step, because all children are not same, some are quick and some are very slow.so the benefits of child is using centered learner.

  34. It is need to equal attention of all children and needs to shift towards competency based education, because learning in students is variable,as for example some learners learn the concept easily very fast and some others are required to more practices,so different types of learners having different learning needs, and we should follow the competency based of education.

  35. The same set of instructions in learning process is not applicable to all the learners at the same period of time as the talent differs to one another.Being a teacher,it's our prime duty to look and take care after the child those who are slow and poor in learning in comparing to others. Our motive of learning would be imparting quality of education equally to all irrespective of colour, race, sex, age, etc.Learner-centred of learning implies learners as respondents to external stimuli.Every merits have some demerits too. In learner-centred approach,we engage the child in maximum and obtain more of the ideas, knowledge, past experiences from them which enable us to adopt the teaching-learning process according to the par with their understandings and enthusiasm.

  36. Every students have their different capacities of learning. Before going to start learning we have to observe them closely to everyone after observing we can teach them according to their capacity..

  37. Using learners- centered approach in government schools is difficult. Although students learn better and also develops problem solving skills, but it requires more time and resources to facilitating the learning.

  40. Students show different levels of language skills, visual-motor skills, social readiness, oral language development, and diversity in home atmosphere and hence they have different learning needs.
But traditionally, all children are provided the same learning materials, instructions and fixed testing schedules. As such, the learning in students is variable, some learn concepts very fast, some require more practice, children are quickly categorized as winners and losers. Therefore, there is a need to shift towards Competency Based Education or CBE.

CBE aims for a learner-centered approach instead. In CBE, the competencies are well defined and fixed to ensure that all students learn all that they are meant to learn but the time spent and pathways of learning will be different for each child. CBE can make learning fun as well as effective, and also help teachers track how well students are learning.

Competency-based education is complex, difficult and costly to implement, however, and it can also lead to increased workload on teachers.

  50. As a teacher I believe that every student is different with an individual way of learning and their own sets of needs and gifts that are brought to the classroom. It is my responsibility as a teacher to expound on their gifts and provide an environment that will foster maximum learning and meet each child's individual needs.
