ReplyDeleteEcce children's play daily with the mathematical blocks, play with rings of different sizes, marbles etc. They will be well aware of the counting and identifying the objects. In this way Ecce will be benefitted in their schooling and FLN mission will be achieved in near future.
ReplyDeleteFLN Mission is defintely going to improve the lives of millions of children as this mission is committed to help the children to acquire the basic skills of life. ECCE can play a great role in achieving the goals and objectives of FLN Mission because in the settings of ECCE, children learn by playing various kinds of games. In this process, they will be encouraged to interact with each other and talk independently. Hence, will improve langauge, literacy skill, social skill etc. There are various kinds of educational toys and materials as well which a teacher can use to make the children learn about arithmatic concepts.

Lack of learning opportunities during the early stages of acquiring literacy and numeracy impede childrens academic progress and motivation, resulting in further lack of achievements. Early childhood care and education create necessary environment in foundation stages of learning for children.

ReplyDeleteThe FLN missions will be 100% successful if we give the priority to remote areas first, as in the Township area or urban area where everything available for education, were pick-up the mainstream very fast as compared to the remote area's as there are still lack of infrastructure, poor road and communication connectivity. We have to first solve the basic problems

ReplyDeleteFoundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) refers to the ability among children to read with meaning and solve basic math problems by the end of Class 3. Once students fall behind on FLN, they tend to maintain flat learning curves for years, and are unable to catch up later on as the texts in the language textbooks and mathematical concepts become more complex and abstract in higher classes. Hence, as a part of implementation of NEP-2020, the Ministry of Education, GoI has launched NIPUN Bharat Mission for ensuring that every child in the country necessarily attains FLN by the end of Grade 3, by 2026-27. It says that learning should be in a joyful manner through play, stories, rhymes, activities, local art, craft and music.
Children who receive good ECCE demonstrate considerable gains in social, educational and intellectual spheres. Good quality ECCE programmes have a lasting impact on children’s development and help to reduce the chances of dropout and repetition and improves outcomes at all levels of education.
