ReplyDeleteIt’s common for children to have some problems at school.
ReplyDeleteSome problems are minor – for example, missing out on school council or forgetting to bring the right sports uniform. Some problems might be more complicated or long-lasting. For example, your child might be having ongoing difficulties in the playground with another child and the strategies you’ve suggested to your child haven’t worked.SMC has many functions as enrolment, retention, completion of elementary education with quality for all children residing in catchment area of school and preparation of school development plan.

ReplyDeleteGenerally as a teacher some of the difficulties faced in the school are-lack of separate toilets for students and teaching & non teaching faculties, lack of proper water connection for drinking and use in toilets, unbecoming poor attendance of students, yearly drop-outs, poor infrastructure, providing of outdated computer systems, non maintenance of roads and cc footsteps leading/connecting to schools, etc.
ReplyDeleteAs such, to solve these difficulties, the SMC members, parents and the community should be duly and properly informed by either conducting a joint meeting or through a written representation. Only then, the foregoing difficulties can be solved or minimized.

A holistic approach to education to address students' learning, social and emotional needs is crucial, especially in times of crisis, considering the recent pendamic attack world wide. Education system is one sector that have been severely affected ..to combat these, we should conduct effective online conferences to boost family involvement, to promote positive outcomes for the society in general and students in particular.. however, this may not be easy considering that most parents are not very comfortable with technology.. and the pendamic causes havoc for conducting PTM uff!
ReplyDeleteFor a student, school is where they spend most of their days' time in. So it is important that the school create a welcoming and comfortable environment for the children. This would mean better toilet facilities, water availability, and better classrooms.
ReplyDeleteHaving outdoor classes for practical learning, and enjoyable learning, is also mandatory. There must be enough open fields or playing grounds in the vicinity of the school for students to roam around and learn freely in.
There must also be teachers available permanently, which will not hamper the students education and learning process.
Govt school face many difficulties like shortage of teachers, lack of parents support, etc. So we are trying to solve these problems by conducting (SMC) member,Parents teacher association etc.
ReplyDeleteIn view to run any type of institution,a sufficient number of workers, infrastructures, equipment etc.are essential. Most of the govt.school teachers have been confronting a lots of difficulties in their concern place of duty. The one of the reason behind the problem is that numerous schools are tackle and run by a single teacher at far-flung areas i.e.,where network connectivity is not available. And due to increase in official duties and paper works,a teacher can't handle the school satisfactorily.Teachers are available but accumulated in some schools even where the enrolment is very low.The other point of difficulty which is being faced by us in school is the lack of cooperation from the part of parents and stakeholders.Besides providing many time motivations and reminders they won't even want to take care of their child at home.To make the situation better, we should call frequent parentmeetings.Motivate, mobilise and influence them the importance of their child's education.
ReplyDeleteBeing an Government teacher we faced many problems such as Lack of infrastructure, Sanitation , Drinkable water source, etc and Parents and Community around us can help us to appeal Adminstrative officer to provide necessary supply for children's studies.
ReplyDeleteSchools in Arunachal Pradesh faces a lots of challenges in developing children in literacy and numeracy. Many Schools are in remote places and they are not update in the areas like infrastructure, furniture, drinking water, toilet..and fund provided by the govt. are insufficient. Govt schools can't compete with the private schools due to lack specially in funds and teachers.
ReplyDeleteSo, in such conditions we teachers should try to convince parents and SMCs and then to villagers about the importance of learning for their children. Govt. Should fund school properly for making interest creating study spaces. School can get parent's support if teacher and school can do something special for raising their interests towards school.
School face several difficulties, some can be solved with the cooperation of SMC and parents. To seek the cooperation of parents and SMC,it is necessary to develop good relationship with them, further conducting parent teacher meeting and SMC meetings at regular intervals strengthens these relationship.
ReplyDeleteDuring our childhood schooling, there were no technology facilities available..We learn physical from our teachers during that particular time.Teachers used to be the only medium of sources to learn.I do not remember about there being any SMC members, while our parents are illiterate so, they could not help us in our study. If in that time any SMC members were there, many problems should have been minimised.According to me conversation with children is essential for their future leading to motivation and encouragement. Being a teacher I contact SMC at school for discussing the arised problems among children what ever the problem is, either it could be languages health ete.I appoint frequent visits and meetings at school with the parents in order to provide the information or actions taking place in one's child.Everychild is different some are slow learners whereas some can keep pace with the teachers, some are shy and introverted whereas others posses extrovert nature in order to handle each and every child deliberately,I put as much effort as required.
ReplyDeleteWe face many problems at school like shortage of teachers, lack of proper toilets, lack of infrastructures, lack of team work, teachers working too many roles at a time, teachers being made accountable for more than they should, not enough time to plan, excessive paperwork for data collection, keeping up with the expectations of school admins, applying a prescribed curriculum to all types of students etc.
ReplyDeleteMany problems can be sort out at the school itself but some need parent teacher cooperation as well as active participation of members of school managing committee( SMC) . Positive and respectful problem solving can help both teacher and parents work towards a solution.
The School Management Committee is comprised of distinguished people and they have the best interests of the school, the teachers and the students in mind. If teachers notice certain shortcomings or want some changes to improve the learning environment for students, they can share the same through proper channels and their concerns will be addressed.
ReplyDeleteParents also want the best for their children and they may know something about their children, the issues faced by them and their needs that may be otherwise overlooked. Teachers interact with them at PTMs and try to address parents' and children's issues and needs.
Many difficulties face by Govt schools like lack of parents,
ReplyDeletecommunities, other stakeholders corporation, shortage of teachers,a single teacher of remote school having many govt duties like election, survey, covid etc In order to solved these problems we call frequent parents meeting ,motivate them, mobilize to improve,

Students spend most of their time in school, so parents think they should learn everything in school and their role is not important in learning but with regular meetings we should make the parents understand that they also play a key role in there child s learning.
