ReplyDeleteThe main objective of vocational education in India as per target set by NEP 2020 is to include 50 percent of students in vocational education in schools. At present only 5 percent of total students are enrolled in vocational education against 96% Of South Korea. Main objective is to create employability and skilled learners in India by integrating vocational training to students.

ReplyDeleteVocationalisation of education means imparting education to students on knowledge, skills and attitude of the vocation of their choice along with academic courses so as to prepare them for the world of work. One of the main objectives of the vocationalisation of education is to make the students employable. By providing vocational education they can be oriented towards vocations and made skillfully available for the job market as it will reduce the mismatch between demand and supply of workforce. To conclude, the ultimate aim of vocationalisation of education is to prepare students for the world of work armed with the power of efficiency and effectiveness.

The term vocational education is general and includes every form of education that aims to the acquirement of qualifications related to a certain profession, art or employment or that provides the necessary training and the appropriate skills as well as technical knowledge, so that students are able to.
