ReplyDeleteDuring the covid-19 pendemic I remain touch with my students through electronics gadgets I.e.mobile . In the initial i tried for Google meet and Zoom meet.lack of network problem in the entire district , partial success has been experienced. Then I started to give voice message and transcripts based on the chapters so that the students can listen the voice message and transcripts whenever they get network at their respective locations. Further I set questions on every chapter and made mandatory to submit the solved questions through WhatsApp so that I can monitor them.
ReplyDeleteDuring the Covid-19 pandemic since students are unable to attend school we are shifted to online mode of education through whatsap, phone calls, google meet and have life interactive class with students. When network gets disturb students are provided with notes in the form pdf along with explanatory videos and animations to grasp the concept better n making it more interesting.
ReplyDeleteDuring the pandemic period teaching and learning process is go continuing with the help of a anroid phone. Earlier I tried in Google meet but annoying of network it doesn't successful. later I created watsapp group class wise and prepared diy their studies videos, voice messages, notes in pdf file and sometimes I used to shared YouTube link also.
ReplyDeletelast week I took a online unit test for twenty marks based on mcqs. Its mandatory for them to submit their answer sheet online mode only. Then students had emailed me on till given particular time. Regards this its a very difficulty for them some students don't have Gmail account and even don't know how to do email. Meanwhile network also avail for very short period.
WhatsApp turn out to be the main linkage to connect with the students even though internet connection in my region is not well equiped and frequent. To tackle this situation I had to prepare lots and lots of handwritten description of the concept, and when there is any doubt from the student end, they call up or whatsapp.
ReplyDeleteDuring covid 19 pandemic I remain in touch with my students with the help of WhatsApp group. Though Internet connection here in my region is not good, I make pdfs of handwritten notes and share them in the group with my students. I frequently check who have read the notes provided in the group. I also give them homework and assignments which they submitted online or offline following SOPs.
ReplyDeleteI tell my students to WhatsApp me directly or call me if they have any queries or problem understanding.
One change that I have noticed is that these online sessions made me work hard but the result were not fruitful as in the previous session ie 2020-21, students had difficulty understanding and so I had to repeat the topics again in offline mpde which took away most of the time.
Final note: online sessions are difficult if the network connectivity is bad.
During covid -19 pandemic, I kept in touch with my students through whats app group and google form by providing the notes and videos

ReplyDeleteI am in contact with my Students mostly in WhatsApp mode and sometimes give a call if they are not responding in the WhatsApp. In my teaching Activity, I prepare some e- notes, and make self videos and share with my Students. Apart from all the materials needed for their Chapter preparation, I ask them to do some extra Activities time and again to check whether they are following the online mode of learning or not. I clear their doubts if present.I try using the teaching methods to make a two way teaching learning process. Like inductive way of introducing a lesson, showing some ready-made videos to get the concept in Solid form in their minds. Also the awareness of being safe and healthy is also been reminded in every time we meet. For the extra curricular activities, the Head and we teaching staff are also taking some steps to implement it online till we meet again in offline mode.

There are two ways by which I was connected with my students. Firstly, With the help of social networkings like whatsapp and Messenger, where we could chat and interacted by video calls.New things that I and the students experienced was that I could clarify the context easily by sharing videos and links to them which was fun in teaching as well as learning also and secondly whenever required physical meeting I met them by maintaining and following the covid SOPs.

ReplyDeleteCovid has broken the learning system that our children followed. It amuses me on hearing of teaching with phone, since my students are not as fortunate as others. Walong, as some might have heard is an interior place in Anjaw district of Arunachal. So, we teachers of walong secondary faced a multitude of difficulties as ours was just upgraded to secondary. Our students were in total confusion, but we curbed the situation with help of hand notes. Worksheets, assignments, projects, etc which they submitted turnwise on different days. I taught students to wash often and take bath first on reaching home after any outing from home and wash the used clothing immediately. For clearing doubts i called 4-5 students at different days to school maintaining the covid norms with parents permission. no internet and covid threat but students need education.
