In remote areas we can make the use of television and radio for conducting classes.

ReplyDeleteFor remote learning, I find Google Meet app and Whatsapp to be the best tool for interacting with the learners. Teaching online through Google Meet and then sending the notes through whatsapp is the best tool for me during this pandemic time.

In a remote area, we can make use of radio and T V to impart education. Besides, we can engage Anganwadi workers of that particular remote area to disseminate education following proper SOPs

ReplyDeleteWe can use video editing apps in our smartphones to teach students through various slideshow of pictures and add small small video clips which demonstrates process the given concept or the lesson.
ReplyDeleteWhile in remote areas I would prefer my smartphone as the only tool for learning teaching process if internet connectivity is fine. As smartphone has multiple applications to connect with students. I can assign learning activities to students and ask to submit at WhatsApp groups.

ReplyDeleteI prefer virtual mode of communication platforms like googlemeet and whatApp. Because these platforms are the most convenient and feasible for delivery of speeches and interaction with the students and most importantly i found the students are also comfortable with these two ICT tool for learning.

ReplyDeleteIn remote areas where there's no internet connectivity, we can make use of conventional technologies such as radio, television and telephone which uses wireless technology. Also we can make use of mobile phones wherever available (although without internet) to share and exchange short notes through SMS to the teachers teaching there so that our notes are passed to the students.

ReplyDeleteICT tools that I have used the most are google meet and WhatsApp. Google meet helps me to communicate directly with the students and take class regularly ,and through WhatsApp I send the class notes.
ReplyDeleteThere are many Open Source ICT tool available but considering the present scenario of our students as for now Whatsapp & Google Classroom (for note sharing and assessment) and Google Meet & Zoom app (for live class) are some of the ICT tool which can be used in Secondary level.

I mostly use desktop and laptops as an ICT tool. An ICT tool can be used in such a way that it may be interactive and helpful to learers in the classroom. The following key points I make to use for interactive teaching;
1. Creating online presentation
2. Concept maps
3. Making collaborative documents
4. Organizing tasks
5. Proposing activities that encourage student participation
6. Even evaluating them in an original and fun way
In my view, so far remote learning is concerned through ICT by way of uploading youtube videos on youtube and Transcripts on WhatsApp means odor study is the best way to teach the learners. At present this mode Teaching-Learning is going on practically and satisfactory. Provided there should not be disturbance of electricity supply and internet connectivity.

Different ICT tools such as small videos on topic, voice messages, news paper clips, by making whatsapp groups etc etc may be used to teach our students from remote.

ReplyDeleteThe most convenient ICT tool for me to use during a remote learning is a smart phone with internet connectivity because in todays modern world all students has access to a smartphone or atleast a family has one smart phone which could be used to get in touch with the learners.so i prefer using it and interact with students through apps like google meet for a live class and use whatsapp for delivering the supporting study materials to students in the form of audio,video, e-documents or links to help students to understand the contents in more effective way.

ICT currently being used in Teaching Learning process to assist students to learn more effectively by providing teacher with access to a wide range of new pedagogy.
So far assessment is concern, being ICT an interactive method of teaching learning process it can serve the purpose of assessments. Through students response teacher can assess students progress. Teacher can design MCQ question through Google Forms. Students by clicking link get the MCQ Question and by clicking right option and submitting it students progress can be assessed.
During this pandemic lockdown this Google Forms are used for Online Admission of students, and can assess the students learning progress also
Being a Language Teacher, I could not use ICT tools like Avogadro, Vascak, Kalzium, or QZIS.
ReplyDeleteBut, Socrative is the formative assessment ICT tool helped me and my students to understand and progress during remote learning through the use of quizzes, questions and reflection questions.
While WhatsApp and Google Meet helped me to cover the syllabus, Socrative, the ICT tool, helped me to create personalised activities with my students.
In remote learning the ICT tools we can use is mobile. If there is a better internet services in the remote area, lots of app can be used for learning. Through watsapp teachers can give notes, record the video and audio, pictures and video collected through internet and send to students for better learning. Teacher cans also teach through Google meet aap and also through watsapp video call. Teachers should ask questions to students during Google meet and have conversations regarding their problems .

ReplyDeleteRemote learning is an alternative option of education for students who are not physically present at school. The number of students who engage in remote learning has greatly increased during COVID-19 pandemic as safely precautions to remain socially distance. Today the vast number of schools world wide have transitioned to remote learning by utilising ITC like computer,the Internet and video conferencing. ICT tools are blessing for teaching learning process. I use different types of ICT tools as per the requirements of the contents during the teaching learning process.

ReplyDeleteBeing an educator I would always be available to the students. Use online resources and provide it via whatsapp, email and if possible organise a meeting online once a week and interact with the students and try to learn about the challenges they are facing in their studies and daily life.With the minimum resources available and with the help of the community and officials arrangements would be made to conduct interactive sessions so that the students will be motivated and not loose their interest in their studies or get depressed due to lack of facilities like internet etc.

ReplyDeleteAs most of our School Students Belongs to the interior remote areas of Lower Dibang valley distict, network connectivity is a great issue here. So we are adopting mostly the WhatsApp mode of teaching only, and Sharing readymade YouTube videos links, and then provide them with self searched Notes where I include many pictures, diagrams to make them understand the concept better.

ReplyDeleteThere are several ICT tools that can be used during remote learning. The selection of appropriate tool will be based on the content and method of teaching. For example, while teaching Geography(Location) Google Maps can be used which offer sattelite image, ariel photography, street maps etc.

In this trying period of surge of Covid 19 for safe teaching - studying we have opted for many means some of which proved to be very useful and some remained in the not so helpful category. Here in this course we came to distinguish between using digital technology and Using ICT. Then I found ICT very useful while teaching different biological processes using animated and augmented digital presentations. When I shared those study materials with my students through internet, feedback was more intense than when I did the same with plain demonstration techniques. I also tried to cover some syllabus of practical activity and succeeded to show them some biological slide and species identification, I got to see their experimental set up when they have sent their individual or group video using digital techniques and internet.As biology is mostly a lab based subject usage of ICT and animation based digital techniques AI based techniques I found very helpful to fulfill the needs of online teaching learning preocess
ReplyDeleteAfter trying to send videos, PPTs and notes through watsapp I've found that video conferencing app like zoom and google meet is more effective as it saves time. I can have direct interaction with my students and it also gives a bit like actual classroom feeling. The only and major issue with this is unstable internet speed which is needed to be work out.

ReplyDeleteDuring remote learning using ICT, I preferred the online mode which are easily available and accessible to the students. I took utmost care that most of the students are benefited.Live classes were conducted using GoogleMeet, and ZoomMeeting. Pre- recorded videos and audios of contents were shared through WhatsApp. Handwritten notes in pdf file were shored on WhatsApp group.I invited queries and doubt through chats, sms or calls on my personal phone.

ReplyDeleteIn teaching at remote I will prefer "Lear with Doing activities" by the student such as cutting and pasting picture /information from news paper, magazine, hordings , poster etc and engaging student in painting activity of habitats,animals, diffrent shape of object, also the map of classroom, compound and way from there home to school etc.

BY doing this internat and highly cost tools like projector, computer and Android phone is not required as all remote people could not get it..

For remote learning I would make the best out of smartphone with the help of internet like googlemeet, online presentation and offline modes like pre recorded videos and presentations. These tools will enable the students to get more exposure and increase interaction between the two parties.
ReplyDeleteMany ICT tools are available for making classroom teaching interactive, but one of the ICT tools which is very effective is K-YAN in the class rooms. In addition to that Geo Zebra,Sorative and Trello are also very useful for the purpose.
