  19. Educating children about how to protect themselves from being sexually abused through school-based prevention programs is viewed by some people as another viable tool that should be used in the fight against child sexual abuse.

Although some advocate prevention programs for children, others express reservations about the conceptual assumptions underlying some programs and voice concern about the lack of attention paid to program evaluation. Those who harbor concerns believe that well-intentioned programs may have undesirable effects on the children they are aimed at helping.

  32. Schools can play a viral role in the prevention of child sexual abuse. In schools teachers can provide awareness to children not only to protect themselves, but also how to report, whom to report, where they can assess to support in case of incedents of child sexual abuse. With the pandamic period the internet has taken over life, it is very important to talk about on line safty with children especially on the issue of online grooming, which can result in a child falling prey to the abuser. It is also important to have safty audits of the staffs and infrastructure of the school, For example regular checking it the CCTVs, whether they are working, ensure that we create a harmony and safe environment for our children.
If a child confides about abuse, the first thing we as a teacher should do is to allow the child to speak, building confidence of the child and allow them to disclose. And if required refer a child to the conselor for further emotional support. If we come to know about the abuse then it is important that we report it to the authority as mention in the POSCO Act about the mandatory reporting clause.
We have understood that how important Schools is which play a viral role in the prevention of child sexual abuse and also the role of teachers in not only responding, but also preventing child sexual abuse. As a teacher it is our duty to build capacities of our children to strengthen them to not only report, but also to fight against child sexual abuse, parallelparallelly, it is also the duty of a school to make preventative measures to make a school a safe place for our children.

Teachers should make children's more participative by empowering them to raise voice against any such incident. So, practice like showing short movies and videos to the children should be done to engage the children with the very idea of raising their voice. School can also do a lot in bringing awareness by engaging parents on such issues relating to child abuse. School can also sensitize senior class students by making them participate in such activities relating to cases of senior students indulging in ? Bullying younger ones that sometimes take the form of child sexual abuse. Students should be made aware of issues like child sexual abuse, domestic violence dowry, female foeticide and gender parity. Teacher facilitator can play a vital role too. A child comes in direct contact with teachers for a considerable duration each day. A teacher is aware of a student's nature and habits. Any change in the student can give a red signal so the issue should be taken into account and dealt with. The child sexual abuse is occuring all over the world and common to both the genders. As per the references or sources available, the rate of child abuse of boys are higher than the girls student in our country. This happens due to various factors such as social, political, economical, hierarchical and so on.This kind of incident is more vulnerable and took place mostly in the institution of learnings where groups of child with diverse character, conduct, behaviour, personality, thought, etc.are in existence. In this concern,I remember a saying that "if wealth is lost nothing is lost,if health is lost something is lost and if character is lost everything is lost."So is the great necessary to keep safe and build good and virgin characters to each and everyone. For this, schools enable to play a very crucial role in preventing the child from getting prone to sexual abuse because schools is a place where an educated or qualified and well awareness people are exist in.In my notion, the environment of the school should be sound,healthy,safe,secure,friendly,stress-free,discipline and so on.This is the sole responsibility of the particular schools to keep away and avoid such happenings. To maintain and keep healthy school environment, the meeting must be conducted once in a month and need to develop mutual understanding among faculty members of school. The teachers must be aware and take great care of the child's character first then the education.Because I think character is the seed of good and perfect education to all.We will be able to prevent the child from this abuse by conducting awareness program, parents awareness meeting, making acquaintance of POCSO Act,2012 and many more new Acts developed afterwards by the Government.
