It is right to some extent as children follow the elders.
ReplyDeleteThere is not one type of person who causes child abuse. Most of the time a child knows the abuser well. Sometimes people who abuse children were abused when they were children. Sometimes, people who abuses kids can show some signs. For example, parents who abuses their children may always talk negative about the child or call the child worthless. They may try to keep the child away from others. They may show little concern or affection for the child when a child is in school, the school is responsible for keeping them safe from harm and abuse. The school should create a safe learning environment, identify pupils who are suffering or at risk of harm and take suitable action. The school also needs to train staff in child protection. Most of the child abuse happens in schools where the school authorities are careless or don't care about the child protection. Such school are vulnerable to child abuse. The school authorities who try to protect the suspect for the shake of name and fame of school are always a welcome place for child abuse.

People who aren't on their state of mind may cause such problems, they might look absolutely okay physically but probably could been through mental sickness. School staffs or teachers suffering through mental sickness or any sort of family problems may cause a child abuse. Hence it is important to note that the staffs are healthy not physically but mentally as well this way we can make a better place or future of a child

ReplyDeleteChild abuse mostly happens in school due to problems faced by them at home. They vent out their anger or problem into other students. Therefore we should carefully observe the behavior of the students and provide proper guidance to students with such problem.

ReplyDeleteChild abuse may happen due to a variety of reasons ; lack of information awareness amongst children, staff and parents. Poor background verification of staff, lack of well laid down processes for entry and exit of children, apathy or neglect of administration , cultural stigma. inability of teachers to instill confidence amongst children to report also can be a factor for hiding cases of child abuse. Improper supervision of staff and visitors including casual ones, lack of monitoring by use of technology etc are also reasons. a well coordinated well informed policy an dwell laid down process for implementing of POCSO will go a long way to reduce cases.

ReplyDeleteSchool should be a place where children are safe from harm and abuse, a place for them to learn and develop in a safe environment. Sometimes, however, those in a position of trust abuse this position and take advantage of a child. Whether, the abuse is sexual, physical or emotional this can be extremely traumatising for a child and have life long consequences. Unfortunately, child abuse is more common than perhaps thought. Teacher, residential workers, caretakers, peripatetic teachers and other school staff have all been implicated in the physical abuse of children but the threat still exists notwithstanding the checks that are frequently undertaken to prevent inappropriate individuals having access to children. The reality is that those who search for children to satisfy their evil intent will not stop simply because set of rules have been introduce. They will simply find new ways to access children, become more cunning and manipulative in the pursuit of children to satisfy their malevolent objectives. It therefore remains essential that adults remain vigilant and when they are concerned about the behaviour of an adult, share their concerns with others. Reporting abuse in schools will reduce the number of offences committed.

Children are susceptible to unknown entities in school surroundings, Many a times, individuals known to them are the abusers too. But when deeply delved into, there are many factors on why abuse can happen in schools.

ReplyDeleteChild abusing is very big problem in school and society, recently a case of somewhere is lepa rada district, where the principal of a school sexually harassed a school girl. This type of person will be hanged on spot otherwise this evil person will again do such type of accused.

ReplyDeleteChild abuse is one of the serious issues all over the world. There are so many reasons behind the child abuse such as holdings mobile by childrens I'm modern age, they learn many unwanted things from net,bad peers, bad environment, social network etc..
ReplyDeleteBullying by classmates is an example of emotional abuse which a child may undergo within the premises of the school. The bullying children themselves need emotional support and avid attention. They need to be counselled along with their parents so that they don't inflict emotional abuse on other children further.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, one of the foremost reasons of child abuse in India is - unawareness. This unawareness has many facets. Firstly, lack of awareness in the child, secondly, in the stake holders. The child has to be educated both at home and in the school regarding the variety of threats and the sources from which these threats can emanate. This can only be achieved, if, to begin with, the confidence of the child is won. Some salient points to be kept in mind are that - the boy child is as susceptible to abuse as a girl; the threat can come from sources outside the house as well as, unfortunately, from within the house. Hence, this issue has to be addressed directly but delicately both with the child and the parents. Once awareness has been created we also have to ensure preventive measures like- diligent screening of school faculty/staff; ensuring procedural and physical security in school functioning/premises, respectively. I would also like to mention, deviations in the behaviour of our wards should be monitored, detected early and followed up suitably.

ReplyDelete1.At some cases,teachers are also responsible .Some teachers are also abusers and have a low and retarded mentality that they overlooked abuse cases among their students. They simply forgave the abusers as they thinks that such cases can earn bad reputation for the schools.such teachers should have no place in schools and their services should be terminated.
2.Senior students often harassed and abuses junior students frequently. such practices should be strictly monitored and due punishment should be given to the wrongdoers.
The reason of child abuse in our society is unawareness,there are many reason for that,lack of awareness,stakeholder.We must guide the child for good behaviour both at home as well as in school also regarding this matter,once awareness has been created.We also have to ensure preventing measure like diligent ,screening of school faculty and security in surrounding area also.

ReplyDeleteA school is an educational institution where children come to learn. A child spends 8 hours in school. Children in the primary classes are not so matured because of the age factor. The person during abuse his mental health is not well and easily he can entice the child by showing chocolates etc. as he is known to him/her. There should be periodical health check-up.

When right is taken away or violated it is called abuse. Abuse simply explained therefore is a violation of rights and when the victim is a child it is recognised as child abuse. For instance, RTE act 2009 ensures the right of children to free and compulsory education, however if children cannot avail of this or there is no system to ensure that they do not drop out of school or if they are forced into work or marriage instead of being in schooland study, their rights are being violated and this is a form of abuse.

When a child enters school it is the responsibility of the school authority to take care of each child. If a child complains about any type of abuses happened with him, authority should take necessary action and discuss the matter with their parents and provide all the possible support to the child. Sometimes teacher thought complaint is false and therefore just neglect the matter,This should be avoided .In school, they should be provided information, what is POCSO act and its guidelines, how it will help them etc.

Abuse can come in several forms such as: verbal or physical maltreatment, injury, assault, violation, rape, unjust practices, crimes or other types of aggression and all of these usually happens in school because of all kinds of people coming together to a single place with different mindset and characteristics of their own.
ReplyDeleteChild abuse is not common in schools however they may occur if there is no proper awareness and attention to the routine monitoring of staff and students . Children and parents have to be made aware, proper facility for travel has to be adhered . No child must be sent earlier and allowed to remain in schools after school hours. Proper check of entire premises is a must by administrative staff . Teachers and staff have to account for all children and ensure teh safety. proper redressal means and process must be encouraged.

ReplyDeleteChildren can be subjected to neglect, abuse, violence and exploitation anywhere. There is some abuse that may happen inside the school premises, while a lot of it is what children suffer at home and in non-school environments. Child abuse is a matter that needs utmost attention since it involves the future generation of this world. This could be prevented by having family planning seminars to parents which would invoke them to take care of their children more. Children are important part of the society, so utmost love and care should be given to them.

It is up to all of us to ensure our children grow up in the environments that build, confidence, friendship, security and happiness irrespective their family circumstances background keeping children safe from harm requires a vigilant and informed community.
To pave effective ways to prevent child abuse in schools ,we need to setup a well vigilant and informed community that is confident in making judgements and assertive in taking action.Additonally, school and educational institutions have a great role to play in it as they not only render learning and education,but also ensure children's safety and protection as priority. So it is essential that parents, teachers and educators working with children and young people are able to understand the role each play in the protecting children.

It can take place due to unhealthy environment in school, communication gap between teachers and students and lack of emotional support from teachers as well as parents. Parents and teachers should create such an environment for the child wherein the child feel safe to share anything. ReplyDeleteAll I human being have rights which are guaranteed by low in whichever place we decide.In India for instance our rights are guaranteed by our constitution itself, so children too have quaranted rights like every adult. When a right is taken away or violated, it is called abuse. There are various kinds of abuse, such as (physically,emotionally, sexually,) neglect or deprivation of any child. For instance every child below 14 years is entitled to free and compulsory education which is further ensured by the right of children to free and compulsory Education ( RTE)Act, 2009,how ever if children can not avail of this or there is not system to ensure that they do not drop out of school or if they are forced to work or marriage instead of being in school and study, their rights are being violated and this a form of abuse.

Among them some children are vary noughty. They tease and bullying, some time with out any reason give kick or punch to other students. In this way abuse happen in the school.
Therefore in the school all the teaching staff and non teaching staff should protect children take care and responsibilities.

ReplyDeleteMost people in our country have poor understanding of child psychology and child rights. Also there is a lack of social services working to combat child abuse in our country.
ReplyDeleteStaff need to be trained not only to disavow child abuse, but also to be able to recognise and stop child abuse, and to take further action if required. Children need to be made aware of their rights and about child abuse. Also, parents/guardians need to keep an eye out for signs of child abuse.

ReplyDeleteSchool is the temple of learning where teachers and other staff are adults and employed and children are being taught. Moreover, Govt schools are under control of local administration whereas private schools are under direct control of the owner. In the School teacher sometime give punishment to their children for non completion of task in the form of physical or in other time as emotional punishment by uttering words that was heart touching and also shows negligence which this general un-intentional act of teachers that are often treated as child abuse. In Residential schools sexual abuse cases are frequently observed. Hence, in such schools strict monitoring should be done with the help of SMC/SMDC members. Ladies teachers should be appointed for hostel warden for Girls Hostel etc. School authority should be more vigilant then child abuse cases gets checked in the school.

During this stage child has the right to a full and productive life.It is responsibility all of us ensure our children grow up in the environment which build confidence. Child abuse includes any intance of physical or sexual abuse,emotional or psychological harms. Some times child abuse use to occur due to certain reason like late coming to School,non-completing of homework,non-obeying School rules and regulations and creating in healthy atmosphere in classroom etc and because of that student are abuse in many forms like physical,emotional or sexual harassment of the child,discrimination based on race,gender or disability. Due to these reason some time teacher abuse to child. Abuse of student by a teacher occur when a teacher voilet student's right or indangerous their safety and well-being.Such types of incident are treated very seriously by state and federal law strictly regulate the standard by which teacher are suppose to conduct themself.

Although it is not exactly common place for teacher to abuse student but it happen often,how ever may younger students may not be aware that they had been subject to mistreatment.
Hence it is best if both student and parents are aware of any situation that might be considered abusive.This student abuse may be in many form and also involved situation.

Abuse can come in several forms such as: verbal or physical maltreatment, injury, assault, violation, rape, unjust practices, crimes or other types of aggression and all of these usually happens in school because of all kinds of people come together to a single place with different mindset and characteristics of their own.

The bullying children themselves need emotional support and avid attention. They need to be counselled along with their parents so that they don't inflict emotional abuse on other children further.

ReplyDeleteone of the reasons why I think child abuse takes place in schools is mostly because the child spend maximum time being in school, so it becomes easier for the abuser to win the confidence of the child as he is already known to the child.so the child too automatically tends to believe the person.So most of the time,the abuser taking advantage of such situation ends up physically abusing the child.

Many activities like quiz,essay, speech on some occasions,games and sports,cultural events students were denied and they never participate in those fields.In that cases the teachers were angry and abuse to the students in that situation.

At the very primary level itself school counselors , teachers and parents should give enough awareness of good touch and bad touch to girls as well as boys . Yes there are chances of child abuse in school level which is unfortunate but preferable. Child should be trained how to protect herself or himself from strangers and elders should be alert but also monitors ones own actions and reactions. Most of the abusers are guards, care taker, teachers sometimes the principal himself or herself. Most of the child abuse happens due to negligence of staff towards students and not taking care properly. It may also happen due to unhealthy environment of school for students as well as staff. School abuse also happens in school due to mental problems or psychological problems of the abuser. The abuser may not have proper environment in their childhood and have grownup in a abusive environment. And have not got awareness and gone through proper counselling. So the students must get knowledge and awareness of bad touch as well good touch. Time to time counseling should be done for both students as well as staff.

Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. While physical abuse might be the most visible, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse and neglect, also leave deep, lasting scars. Therefore, child protection policy must be based on the principle to ensure timely and effective intervention for children and young people who may be at risk of abuse or neglect. It is needless to say that the challenge of protecting children is everyone’s responsibility: parents, schools, communities and government. Everyone has a role to play in it.

Poor background verification of staff, lack of well laid down processes for entry and exit of children, apathy or neglect of administration , cultural stigma. inability of teachers to instill confidence amongst children to report also can be a factor for hiding cases of child abuse. Improper supervision of staff and visitors including casual ones, lack of monitoring by use of technology etc are also reasons. a well coordinated well informed policy an dwell laid down process for implementing of POCSO will go a long way to reduce cases.

When a right is taken away or violated, it is called abuse. There are various kinds of abuse, such as (physically,emotionally, sexually,) neglect or deprivation of any child. For instance every child below 14 years is entitled to free and compulsory education which is further ensured by the right of children to free and compulsory Education ( RTE)Act, 2009,how ever if children can not avail of this or there is not system to ensure that they do not drop out of school or if they are forced to work or marriage instead of being in school and study, their rights are being violated and this a form of abuse.

Among them some children are vary noughty. They tease and bullying, some time with out any reason give kick or punch to other students. In this way abuse happen in the school.
Therefore in the school all the teaching staff and non teaching staff should protect children take care and responsibilities.
If a child is been abused in school than it's the negligence of the school authorities. Lack of awareness of the school members for not being aware of the causes of the abuse. ReplyDeleteThe reason for child abuse has multiple social factors like mental health,poverty,prior abuse,sustance abuse isolation or lack of support. All these factors reflected the form of neglect physical abuse,emotional abuse sexual abuse and exploitation. School is the places where different religion,sex,age,race,cast and creed are studying together,So the abuse happens mostly in education sector as children spend half of their life in school to mould themselves and to build their career. Therefore child abuse can happen with any child and it could be anyone. The child abuse is more of physical,emotional and neglect with or without intention,knowingly or unknowingly in the school .School is also a place where children are isolated from their parents.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion school is a place where different types of race, caste, religion etc, get together. Among them some children are vary noughty. They tease and bullying, some time with out any reason give kick or punch to other students. In this way abuse happen in the school.

ReplyDeleteIn schools different types of staffs is working some staff suffering emotional problems, some facing economical problems and domestic problems. This type of problems of staffs may cause a child abuse in school. Some time , some children don't follow the discipline of school and betan by teacher this is also a child abuse in school .

ReplyDeleteMost of the child abuse happens in school as the child becomes an easy target for the abuser as it becomes very difficult for the teachers to monitor each and every students whereabouts within the school premises especially in the morning hours before the school assembly starts, when children come to school. Most of the abuser preys on children who come to school early. Also school is the place where children come from all socio cultural backgrounds.
