  2. National education policy enhanced art integrated learning (AIL)at all level of education. It involves all three domain: cognitive,psycho motor and affective.AIL upgrade students imagination,observation,creation,recreation etc. The visual arts like painting,photography,stage art,sculpture,clay modeling etc.And performing art like artistic expression,dance,theatre,story telling,cinema etc. help us in teaching in better way. These medium of teaching in class room provide learning experiences that engage the students mind,heart and body. My subject is environmental science (looking around). Practically,students see different types of flora and fauna species outside class room and video clips related to their subjects. In this way AIL is very meaningful process.

  26. I teach general science to my students and science without imagination is like sun without light. Not only science, but every other subject needs an imaginative mind for better understanding. Rote learning is meaningless and thats why, rote learning is discouraged in the NEW EDUCATION POLICY,2020 of GOI.

    Art integrated learning in Science.
    Observational skills is a type of Visual Art which is the important tools for physician, and can be improved through practice. Observational Skills uses representational narrative paintings.
    To improve visual art in 5th and 6th grade science classes observational skill is used in which teacher instructed student to look a tree carefully which is located in the school compound, notice its size, structure, details of leaf and arrangement of branches.
    Now, returning into the class he instructed to draw in a few minutes whatever they had observed and seen .
    Here we observed that many student can draw and labelled correctly, many students can't
    They are again given chance to observe tree carefully and again asked to draw tree with proper labelling. then this time student can improve lot. This repeated observation improve observation skill which gets concretised in the Brain results they never forget whatever they learn by repeated observation and drawing.

Three types of domain functions in AIL i.e Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor. Through AIL, pupil learns quickly and they don't forget whatever they learn. An introvert child or differently abled child can also understand the concept quickly if they are taught through AIL. AIL consist of Art, Music, Dance and theatre. It takes place at all levels of schooling. If a pupil has to understand the theme of a drama then they have to be in that character, act like them, think like them. This, it becomes easier for them to understand the whole theme. Thus, AIL is a good initiative by Ncert.

    Now, returning into the class he instructed to draw in a few minutes whatever they had observed and seen .
    Here we observed that many student can draw and labelled correctly, many students can't
    They are again given chance to observe tree carefully and again asked to draw tree with proper labelling. then this time student can improve lot.     My subject is maths, I can use lines and colors to explain various geometrical shapes. A Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky created different pictures by using line and geometrical shapes which helped the students learn shapes interestingly.

  173. It is a known fact that visual learning process is much easier for students to comprehend and learn from. By integrating art into their learning process, not only do we make the process more memorable for them, it will also stay with them for a longer period. Repetitive mugging up of books will not remain with them for longer durations. Another beneficial aspect of art integrated learning process is that it allows us a wider range of possibilities and tools for demonstration to the students. This method can also prove to be a fun one that will help capture the minds of the students and open them up for more possibilities.

    Art integrated learning in Science.
    Observational skills is a type of Visual Art which is the important tools for physician, and can be improved through practice. Observational Skills uses representational narrative paintings.
    To improve visual art in 5th and 6th grade science classes observational skill is used in which teacher instructed student to look a tree carefully which is located in the school compound, notice its size, structure, details of leaf and arrangement of branches.
    Now, returning into the class he instructed to draw in a few minutes whatever they had observed and seen .
    Here we observed that many student can draw and labelled correctly, many students can't
    They are again given chance to observe tree carefully and again asked to draw tree with proper labelling. then this time student can improve lot. This repeated observation improve observation skill which gets concretised in the Brain results they never forget whatever they learn by repeated observation and drawing.
