Add 400+7 A student has done it in the following way 400+7 = 4007 Another student has done in following manner 400+7 = 1100 What prerequisite knowledge might students not have? Visual learning helps students to retain information more effectively than any other method.
ReplyDeleteHere you can use images,video,charts,maps, documentaries, diagrams etc for teaching students in the classroom.
It is said that students with visual learning style excel in their academic performance with they understand well.
National education policy enhanced art integrated learning (AIL)at all level of education. It involves all three domain: cognitive,psycho motor and affective.AIL upgrade students imagination,observation,creation,recreation etc. The visual arts like painting,photography,stage art,sculpture,clay modeling etc.And performing art like artistic expression,dance,theatre,story telling,cinema etc. help us in teaching in better way. These medium of teaching in class room provide learning experiences that engage the students mind,heart and body. My subject is environmental science (looking around). Practically,students see different types of flora and fauna species outside class room and video clips related to their subjects. In this way AIL is very meaningful process.

The meaning of art integrated learning is combining arts with the teaching learning of different curricular areas. Learning with this approach helps in increasing knowledge, understanding and application of the subject area on one hand and fosters a sense of appreciation on the other. In addition it provides a language for expression which can be through visual arts or in the form of performing arts. Furthermore, this model enable the learners to explore creativity while building connections between different concepts and art experience along with use of multiple skills and abilities.

Not only science, but every other subject needs an imaginative mind for better understanding. Rote learning is meaningless and thats why, rote learning is discouraged in the NEW EDUCATION POLICY,2020 of GOI.

Art integrated learning in Science.
Observational skills is a type of Visual Art which is the important tools for physician, and can be improved through practice. Observational Skills uses representational narrative paintings.
To improve visual art in 5th and 6th grade science classes observational skill is used in which teacher instructed student to look a tree carefully which is located in the school compound, notice its size, structure, details of leaf and arrangement of branches.
Now, returning into the class he instructed to draw in a few minutes whatever they had observed and seen .
Here we observed that many student can draw and labelled correctly, many students can't
They are again given chance to observe tree carefully and again asked to draw tree with proper labelling. then this time student can improve lot. This repeated observation improve observation skill which gets concretised in the Brain results they never forget whatever they learn by repeated observation and drawing.
Researchers found that when students received arts-integrated lessons compared to more traditional teaching practices, they improved their ability to assess their learning.

Three types of domain functions in AIL i.e Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor. Through AIL, pupil learns quickly and they don't forget whatever they learn. An introvert child or differently abled child can also understand the concept quickly if they are taught through AIL. AIL consist of Art, Music, Dance and theatre. It takes place at all levels of schooling. If a pupil has to understand the theme of a drama then they have to be in that character, act like them, think like them. This, it becomes easier for them to understand the whole theme. Thus, AIL is a good initiative by Ncert.

Observational skills is a type of Visual Art which is the important tools for physician, and can be improved through practice. Observational Skills uses representational narrative paintings.
To improve visual art in 5th and 6th grade science classes observational skill is used in which teacher instructed student to look a tree carefully which is located in the school compound, notice its size, structure, details of leaf and arrangement of branches.
Now, returning into the class he instructed to draw in a few minutes whatever they had observed and seen .
Here we observed that many student can draw and labelled correctly, many students can't
They are again given chance to observe tree carefully and again asked to draw tree with proper labelling. then this time student can improve lot. This repeated observation improve observation skill which gets concretised in the Brain results they never forget whatever they learn by repeated observation and drawing.

ReplyDeleteMy subject is maths, I can use lines and colors to explain various geometrical shapes. A Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky created different pictures by using line and geometrical shapes which helped the students learn shapes interestingly.

ReplyDeleteBy integrating the art methods in teaching i realised that the students are so much benefited. well, I teach the subject English. Teaching vocabulary words that are related to art and encourage their use on daily basis in conversation and presentations helps students to easily understand the concept.
Students must be encouraged to participate in drama activities in their language arts class which increase their writting language abilities, and an English language learners abilities are also increased when the art are integrated into their instruction. Infact, a curriculum rich in art integrated activities is a healthy and a fun way of teaching. These achievement have been shown to benefit the student even after they leave the classrooms.

Art provider to students, a language for expression, this expression can be visual or in the form of performance. It involves working on all three domains this is Cognitive, Psycho- Moto and Affective domains.
Art integrated learning helps in easy, quick learning and retaining process in students. Use of art has shown to pique interest, curiosity and willingness to learn in students.

Art integrated learning in Science.
Observational skills is a type of Visual Art which is the important tools for physician, and can be improved through practice. Observational Skills uses representational narrative paintings.
To improve visual art in 5th and 6th grade science classes observational skill is used in which teacher instructed student to look a tree carefully which is located in the school compound, notice its size, structure, details of leaf and arrangement of branches.
Now, returning into the class he instructed to draw in a few minutes whatever they had observed and seen .
Here we observed that many student can draw and labelled correctly, many students can't
They are again given chance to observe tree carefully and again asked to draw tree with proper labelling. then this time student can improve lot. This repeated observation improve observation skill which gets concretised in the Brain results they never forget whatever they learn by repeated observation and drawing.
Art Intergrated Learning (AIL) is a teaching-learning 'through the arts' and 'with the arts': it is a process where art becomes the medium of teaching -learning, a key to understanding concepts within any subject of the curriculum.

Art Integrated Learning experience can benefit students in meaningful learning of your subjects as learners go through different stages such as observing, thinking, imagining, exploring, experimenting, deducting, creating, recreating and expressing. These stages need actual involvement of all three domains i.e. Cognitive, psycho-motor and affective. It is experimental in nature and leads to holistic development if every learner. It also help students in understanding most of the things they don't.
