  2. Childhood is an important stage of human life. Everyone remember their childhood days and it's memories, friends. Duru rainy days , I steps out of my home to play by going to uphill and used to scrolling down with the help of the branches and leaves of the trees . My cloths got dirty with mud and my entire body got wet. It is the time of the year when I enjoyed the most as I splash around in rainwater puddles and make paper boats that floats in the pond near my home🏠. Rainy season is the most amazing season of the year. Still I remember when thundering occurred I used to kept myself inside the table and watched it. Sometimes it followed heavy rain with hailstones which I used to collect, play with it and eat. I still remember the sound of falling rain drop and hailstones. It sounds more in C. G. I. roofing house and less in huts. Lastly I always neglected my mom saying. "Barish me mat bigo bimar ho jaoge ".Moreover the rainy season refrigerates the weather with showers and a warm breeze. It freshens everyone by making the climate fresh and pleasant. Sometimes rain, sometimes rainbows, and sometimes cloudy and sunny days.

It was the time when playing in the puddles of water was the best moment of the day. It was the best time when the smell of earth meant the onset of a joyous season.

  11. Recapitulation of childhood is a wonderful memory.In1983, I was studying in class 3. During the month of July, suddenly the blue sky was covered with black clouds and trees were dangling with storm. The thunderbolt and lightening was falling on hills. We were frighten and birds were chirping under trees. No sooner rain started dripping than thunderbolt stopped. The rain poured over and over throughout day.
We had rice, dal and mix vegetable in our lunch and set out for playing football in banyan and halfpant. The football was floating on water. We splashed in mud with football. Kharif crops like maize, beans were all around football ground. Suddenly, our warden stopped the game and said take bath immediately otherwise all of you may suffer from skin disease and diarrhea. Thanks God, we all were safe.

  14. My childhood memory with rain is awesome as with most. The sound of rain on roof with cool breeze and people, animals n other being trying to take shelter made my heart ache with unknown nostalgia. As a child we used to play in rain, dance, bathe unlike an adult. Its surprising how as we grow older we start hiding from rain, even from drizzles. The smell of frying fritters n tea is a memory we all can relate with. With time the differences between childhood rain and grownup rain has changed.

  18. This is an incident that i remember quite well as i got into quite some trouble.
It was raining heavily, but i had to go to Aalo for some work. Those were the days when the roads were not nicely built. Midway, the bus i was travelling in got stuck in the ruined roads and it took hours for the people to go through it and also the roads were blocked.
It was really hard for me to cope up with the situation as we had to walk rest of the distance to Aalo. I reached my destination anyhow, safely.

  20. Those childhood days in which it was so difficult to sit at home because it was raining outside.🌧️
When we were little, we'd wait for rainy days. All the kids would get together for a walk in the rain. We'd dress up in old clothes. And then we'd just get up and go wherever we feel like. We'd roam around the streets for no reasons. Jump into puddles. Most importantly, we'd just enjoy the rain and spend time together. Those beautiful memories from my childhood are very precious to me.

  21. Everyone comes across childhood days which seems like a dream. In my childhood, I have many friends who are still in my village and whenever we assemble we talked about the wonderful memories and feels sad too as we have lost some of our friends. We used to go down the valley to play in the grassland which are very clean, dust free and fresh. During rainy season, we used to go to our village pond for swimming and boating. Our boats were made from banana plant. We plays with mud ball hitting each other.

I really loved the sound of rain specially on hot sunny day. It came as a sigh of relief, making everyone of us smile and dance. The sound of thundering was the only thing which annoyed and frightened me a lot. But at the same time the sounds of birds was always a treat for the ears.
But the other side of the story is that excessive rain causes flood which creates havoc and destroys everything. Destruction of houses, crops, human lives are the dark side. Besides, these it becomes the root cause for diseases like malaria, thyroid etc. which takesaway many innocent lives.

Thinking of the childhood days makes me very nostalgic and straightly takes me down to the memory lane, where during rainy season in our house we used to prepare potato fritters and special masala tea to accompany it.I remember sometimes I would get scared when it used to rain cats and dogs.I think rainy season is the joyous of all because not being able to step outside during rains, we get some quality time to spend with our loved ones.

  31. Rain is a very unfavourable thing in our life. When rain comes, our all activities come to a halt. There are many devastation in various places. However. seasonal or timely arrival of rain is a boon to farmers and for their crops.
When the rain comes, there is a swaying sound somewhere as if a train or aeroplane dashing through. As it falls around you, it produces a musical sound if you listen them carefully with closed eyes, especially, the drops fall on roofs is quite magical.
When strong winds blow, the droplets are drifted far away. Using umbrella become meaningless as rains falling horizontally. In few intervals rains mostly accompanied with cloudburst or thunders that shake us complete. Sometimes such thunder- lightning has caused death to many.
Raining in the area, not a single bird could be seen around. They also shelter themselves to their respective shelters or nests. Many rivers and waterfalls grow bigger and muddy.
When rain around, smell of the environment also uninteresting- sort of damp and moist. Vegetation has high moisture. Soils are wet and slippery. One cannot go out for fear of slip and fall.
But on such rainy days, blasting pop- corn(maize)in furnace is a very interesting activity for me. If alone in the rain, my mind is always transported towards it and I'm helpless ignoring it.
During rainy season, people dressed themselves with warmer clothes because temperature drop down with rainfall. Food is less desired by people in rain because of low digestion due to cold. In this season I often listen to rain related songs. My favourite one being- तिप्- तिप्_2 बारीस शुरू हो गई। माने या न माने~~~.....।।
In the rainy, there is almost no festivals in our locality but major crops. Like- rice crops(kharif) crops are grown; cultivation come under full swing.
In the rainy season, many diseases are prevalent in our locality, they are- malaria, J/E; jaundice, typhoid, etc. In most cases claimed many lives.
Apart from all these, we are also contemplating many problems, like- floods in rivers, land-slides in highlands, road blockades, drinking water scarcity due to rivulets turning muddy, etc.
RAIN! If we give it more chances of falling on earth, human survival will be miserable. We must try to minimize intensity of rain fall on earth. Superstitiously, rain is considered a natural phenomenon but I believe our unified efforts could curb the intensity of rain fall. However, seasonal rainfall must not be effected by our efforts.
    Thx!✌

That day I was drawing water from a rain water to a place that I assumed as paddy field and in another occasion I played citrus fruit as football with my friends without clothes and I was caught fever that night. As our house was thatchroof the sound of rain make us sleepy. Jack fruit, peach, guava and many jungle fruits were available during the rainy season in my childhood. Malaria, cholera and dysentery were the main diseases during my childhood.

  34. I have many fond memories of the rainy season from my childhood. Making paper boats and floating them in rain water streams and jumping in puddles were some of the fun activities that we children would do. I used to love falling asleep to the sound of rain falling on the roof. I used to enjoy sitting by the window while taking in the earthy smell produced when rain fell on soil and watching wild birds and animals trying to escape from the rain.
A couple of times, however, there was so much rainfall that rivers flooded their banks, and many people's farms and homes were sadly damaged.

  40. The Memory Lane

I remember the sounds of the thunder and the lightening before it rains. It gave chills to the body. The sounds of leaves rustling due to the wind was soothing. When it rained, all the animals took shelter. After the rain, the smell it leaves was refreshing along with the smell of the wet soil. I, along with my siblings ate mangoes after the rain. We sat around the fireplace and made pakoras and popcorn and ate with tea.
During the rainy period, people usually were effected with common cold and other water-borne diseases.

It’s quixotic to feel the rain washing away old memories but there is something so innate about the sound of rainfall that we almost imagine life begins anew. The wet earth gives rise to new life and new stories....Either way, the rain elicits such a barrage of emotions, especially when it is inundatory and new.

  45. The experience of rain in our childhood days are the real memories and that makes us nostalgia. One such experience is seeing the rain follow us and we having a running race and trying to reach our hostels from the playground. The heavy down pour and the load noise which scares us and also makes us crazy to be reaching the point first. When we reach before it and wait for it to pour down the tin roof heavily and us waiting beneath the corner of the hostel to have the best shower in our life. Making ourselves swim in the water flooding the grass in the ground. Smelting ourselves with the mud and againg washing it away with the rain water.

The times and the experience at that time are the true memories with rain falling everywhere. The true sense of happiness and good feeling. Enjoying childhood at it's best.

  46. My experience on a rainy day gives me sweet memories. Monsoon memories back from my childhood days simply make me nostalgic. Back then, Monsoon meant floating paper boats in rain water streams. It was the time when playing in the puddles of water with my cousins was the best moment of the day. As children we were really carefree! Now, I wouldn’t even dream of doing such a thing. It was the time when the smell of earth meant the onset of a joyous season.
In those old days spent in my hometown Tawang, lying flat on the green grass under the blue skies, facing the lashing rain. It'€™s so great to be so carefree, having an unfettered life with an easy-going attitude.
The trees and vegetation in Tawang gets washed by rain and reveals its lush green colour. The full view becomes enchanting with dark clouds all over the sky with periodic lightening.Sometimes during heavy rain, schools used to declare a holiday. Rainy day is the day when nature reveals all its hidden surprises to us.But there’re also worse sides to a rainy day. Sometimes, an elaborate amount of rain caused damage like floods and bring disruption in our place. It also worsens the daily life of our people and made it hard enough for us to make both ends meet.
Despite these drawbacks, I still have this odd tingling feeling about the rain. I miss playing in it. I miss going out and just getting wet to be wet and getting muddy under the guise of having fun. So, I steal time just to have a walk under the drizzle, feeling the droplets splash on my face.
Closing my eyes for seconds, I can see flashbacks of my timeless childhood memories in the rain.

  60. Well, flash back to the memories of my childhood experiences of rainy season. Rain is the greatest gift of God. Bringing to my back memories when I would make paper boats and put them in a puddle. I remember my colourful umbrella because I always worried about my clothes and shoes. Sometimes the rain was very heavy and gutters were full of water. The arrival of rainy season is the key happiness for all living organisms on earth. I enjoyed those moments when earth wears green colour blanket.Sky remain cloudy . Remember the beautiful sight of raibow. I enjoyed a lot. Through rainbow I generally used to memories the name of colours. The sound of rain needs no translation. I also passed hard days during rainy season as path becomes muddy. Rainy days create flooding that kills and thousands around the world and that give me lots of pain.people died due to thunderstorms. Many areas affected by flood. Cropes get destroyed because of excessive rain poor people have no shelter.
Asiding all these pain I usually sung the most beautiful song from an old and evergreen flim "Awaara" sung my melody queen Lataji.Pyar huwa ikrare huwa .

Rain is wonderful but in life too much of a good thing can be bad. It bring relief from the unbearable heat. The earth which was dry becomes cool and soft. The rain are of great blessings to the farmers, so that they can saw and cultivate their fields. They feel happy in the hope of having good crops. I used to remember those school days when I used my grandpa's big umbrella which was black in colour. I used to cry😭😭😭 to carry out dated umbrella with big curve handle.
Generally at the time of rain my mother prepare tea and roasted maize and I enjoyed a lot. But I miss my mom for all these. As I was grown up in village, I used to dance with my friends at the time of rain.
I have also passed hard day's during the time of rainy season as the road got blocked due heavy landslide and we remain cut off from entire world which makes me very sad.Besides all these green vegetation gives me immense pleasure.

Those rainy days, I remember, with all of my friends would dance and play in rain.We would make paper boat and compete. We would throw muds and jump on water. I remember how our parents would scold us for playing in rain. Some of our friends would get sick and we would visit them as if weren't part of rain dance and play. Still when it rains, it's sound would take me back to those memories n I would simply close my eyes and smile back to my childhood.

  66. It might not be the most productive part of our lives but childhood was definitely the most enjoyable. The rainy season is of particular importance in our childhood. Personally, I remember the rainy seasons vaguely but fondly. I remember that it was during this season that I was especially treated to some delicious food by my mother. We had carefree days in the rain where all we did was play and make merry to our fullest. Of course, we were always told to not be in the rain for too long in fears that we might catch a cold or even a headache. We would make paper boats to float in the muddles formed due to the rains. Arunachal is a particularly rainy region and we have higher rainfall than most states in India. This meant that we had ample time to play and be carefree during our childhood. But the onset of rainy season also meant periodic thunderstorms. As a child, I was petrified of thunders and would run to my parents for protection. But all in all, the rainy season was a particularly blissful period of our childhoods.

One of the best memories of fun in rain is of making paper boats and releasing them in the nearby gutters, competing with friends etc. It was the time when playing in puddles of water was the best moment of the day. Infact, it felt like the smell of earth meant the onset of a joyous season.

I was in Khonsa in my childhood. It is rainforest, so summer and winter was not quite different. Being situated in Patkai range, rain water was always there in the roads flowing rapidly, so wearing shoes was not and option. The dew was also so much in there that it was similar to the situations of after rain.
We had played a lot of tennis ball cricket in rain. Ball some flows in the overflowing drains and it was quite a difficult task to get the ball back.
Finding anything lost in the school especially the marbles in the small jungles full of rain water, the smell, the precaution that we never took, never afraid of any insects, rain remembers us a lot. It refershes my childhood memories.
Sound of rain was so much on the roof that it becomes difficult for us to hear tv.
My house was on a hill, about 150 steps, so every time I go out of house, I would always get wet, but it was fun, the fun which ai could not enjoy much now.
I miss my old days, my friends, and the RAIN..

The best moment from my childhood memories of rain was to play in rain water without any fear of getting sick or scolded by elders. It was fun wading through the dirty water logged roads from school to way home. We would play in puddles of water and splash the dirty water on each other. There was no fear and no bother at all.Another thing was shaking all the branches of trees to get those rain drops over my head and enjoy the feeling of creating the rain shower.

Splashing water around and on friends, the earthy smell, the leaves of the tress hustling along with the rain, and getting all wet, most of the times. There was of course the thought that we might get sick because of the rain, but that seldom happened. And at times when we weren't allowed to be outside in the rain, it always meant for a good nap. It is nice to sleep when it rains and you can hear the raindrops on your roof.

  90. Childhood memories are full of fun. I wish I could be a child forever having no worries except eating, playing and get extra love and affection from parents and elders. One among many of my memory is that of a rainy season. Early rainy season have been much delightful than the mid rainy season. During early rainy season I used to cheer the rainbow which comes with the rain on a mild sunshine. I used to go out of the house, take rain bath, play with mud, gets scold from my family members especially mom of catching cold. When droplets of rain falls on the GCI roof with the sound tik tik then I would sing aloud 'Rain rain go away come again another day' wholeheartedly. With rain many times wind and thunderstorm too came along which usually jeopardize my plan of dancing and playing in the rain. Rain make the birds standstill. Rain water adds extra volume and beauty to the nearby waterfalls. Rain change the scent of the vegetation, loosen the soil bettering for cultivation. During rainy season we get our first batch of paddy along with fish in a pisciculture farming, tomato, beans, chilly, etc. When it rains very hard my parents would provide me a colourful umbrella. When it rains for days, our area would witnessed small drains wherein we would catch the fish arriving from nearby rivers.
Festivals like Buddha Purnima, Good Friday, Kanwarias, Krishna Janmashtmi, Raksha bandhan, etc. are celebrated during the rainy season.
Danger from diseases like Influenza, Cholera, Typhoid, Malaria, Viral fever, etc, increases at an alarming rate during the rainy season.
Reasonable raining is good but over raining brings natural calamities like flash flood, land slides, etc. I witnessed one such natural calamity in 1988 wherein due to heavy rainfall uncountable landslides and flash flood occurred in most of the part of Arunachal Pradesh which cut off many districts from one another causing lots of problems for medical, food supplies, transportation, etc. Rain is necessary for maintaining water level, agriculture, above all sustenance of life on Earth but over raining may bring unseen disaster to all living beings.

  91. Rainy season or monsoon season is one among the four seasons. Who has not enjoyed rainy season in his or her childhood? Every one! It is axemplary attribution of nature. It was indeed of great delite to us in our childhood time as many as our schoolsgave holidays due to heavy rain. A sudden holiday and unexpected scope to relax offers us enormous happiness and joy. The small paper boats made by us by tearing -out pages from our note books floating in rain water streams in tacenda of memories, the rain drops resting on the trees and flowers and the chirping of unknown birds provided a surreal feeling to our minds. I can not forget about a super fun to shake the water droplets off on my friends or myself.
During rainy days, I left my home worksbehind and ran out to get drenched in the relentless rainfall. The sound of rain on tin roofs and the refreshing petrichor acted as a balm for my own tired souls.
I had a funny memory about falling hailstones in rainy day. Those white hard icy balls were things that many of us liked collecting or just holding in hands to see them melt. Many one of us loved tasting them. The small raindrops on windowpanes and dandelionsshined like pearls in the late sunlight. The sound of thunder and lightning beauty was unique and some time whenI saw the lightning in the sky, I immediately closed my ears with fingers as it was well known to us that after a few seconds, the sound of thunder must come.
Rainy season simply made me nostalgic. It was the time when playing in the puddles of water was the best moment of the day. It was the time when the smell of earth meant the onset of joyous season.
l left for the school in the rainy day with colourful umbrella and cute raincoat, it was really hits me a lot about those days' memories and feelings of joyous. I tried to save my uniformsfrom getting dirty in vain. The sight of little frogs and and snails in my home delighted me a lot. I ran to my terrace to watch the colourful rainbowsadorn to sky just after the end of rain.
The delicious rainy day special tasty foods like pakoda, hot coffee etc made by mom can not be forgotten and still in my memory.
Rains still hold a special place in our hearts , we could only wish they were still the same as they were when we were kids.

My brother and I had great memories of rainy days, where we would dance in the rain and rubbing soap all over our body .
After that we would have fried fritters like alu chop, pakori etc. Which was made by our mother .
In the night thundering made us scared and we thought of sky would fall down.
Sound of the rain has a soothing sound while we asleep except thunderstorm and lightning .
Rain has good feeling most of the time ,a little bit of fear and boredom as well.

  133. Childhood is the best part of our life and rainy season is the most enjoyable season of the year. I remember my childhood days, when it rains children comes out to play and take showers in the rain. It brings joy to the villagers as this is the time for growing and transplantation of paddy in the field which needs sufficient water. It is during this season we get to eat juicy fruits like plum, litchis, jackfruits, pears and pineapples in plenty. The surrounding also looks green and fresh. Puddles, ponds and rivers are filled with water. As we grew up little older the most exciting one I remember was making bamboo boat and banana tree boat and enjoy rowing them in the nearby river with friends. It was from there, in a play way we could learn how to swim in different styles , how to row boats and fishing with the help of bamboo basket nets. Along with that, we could also learn some life saving skills like - how to rescue or save if a friend or someone drowns in water and how to be careful and protect yourself from dangerous insects and water snakes. These experiences and skills that we acquired during our childhood are amazing and lasts for the whole life.
However, the downside of the rainy season is that sometimes, excessive and continuous rainfalls bring floods , damage crops and cause great loss and worry to the villagers. Besides, stagnant water in the surroundings provide breeding ground for various diseases and people are often seen falling sick with malaria, dengue and typhoid during this season.

  136. Childhood memories simply make me nostalgic. I start revisiting my childhood days when there would be incessant rain for days and days. Today’s incessant rain brought back many childhood memories. It reminded me of my love for rainy season when I was first introduced to rain by my parents, they bought me new raincoat, umbrella and gumboots to experience the rain and when I did, it felt magical, small drops of water pouring on me. From then on, whenever it rained I made it a point to invent new games to play with my friends like jumping and dodging puddles, making paper boats and competing among friends, play in rain water without any fear of getting sick or scolded by our parents, splash dirty muddy water over each other, wading through the water clogged road and singing the favourite rain songs and dancing like crazy was the best moment. Another thing I loved doing most was shaking off the branches of trees to get those rain drops over my head and enjoy the feeling as if I have created the rain shower. Such, innocent feeling and act.
There were times when I got sick and was not allowed in the rain. It was the most difficult time to resist So, I would just sit by the window and enjoy the sound of rain on my roof, the smell of rain and the cool breeze. Sometimes, when I see rain pour, I would imagine if I was seeing a waterfall and small birds would fly to my window's to take shelter from the rain. That feeling was enough even if I did not get to play in the rain. My mother would surprise me with hot chocolate drink and snacks which made the rainy season even more merrier.
I so want to relive my childhood days and be a child again.

  148. Everyone remember their childhood days and memories. During my childhood rainy season ,or wet season, is one among the four seasons when the region's average rainfall is achieved. It is generally caused due to the changes in the flow of winds and other geological factors. Generally, the rainy season brings much needed relief from the extreme heat of the preciding summer season, replenishing the rivers and lakes. Plants that were previously wilted spring to life in the rainy season. Animals are also active during the rainy season. This is the season where farmers look forward to, as rain becomes the saving grace for their crops. However, the season also has the potential to bring about large scale destruction if preventive measures are not taken. Floods, hurricanes, storms and other water related natural calamities usually occurs during the rainy season.

Childhood is the best part of our life and the rainy season which was enjoyed by everyone in their childhood nd today also we love having rainy-day snacks while listening to the sounds of rain pitter- patting on your windows?! Samose, Jalebi, Chai aur Pakore. Or just sitting by the window, all by yourself, breathing in the rainy breeze, thinking about life, and getting the feels. Also, reading a book near the window feels so peaceful.

Using rain as an excuse to skip school
What you're thinking- “Yayyyyy!!! Baarish! School se chutti aaj :D !!!”
What you say to your mom-“Mummy aaj baarish ho rahi hai itni tez, main school kaise jau
And most Indian moms respond to that like-“Naatak mat karo! Chalo raincoat pehno aur
    school jao!!”

Sleeping to the sound of rain
Some people love listening to recorded rain sounds from YouTube to put themselves to a peaceful sleep. But when you're having a relaxing day at home, the real sounds of rain on your window can doze you off to a peaceful nap.

Shaking off rain water from tree branches
Rains are beautiful. You must have seen pictures of droplets of water collected on leaves. Water collects on leaves and branches on the trees too. And it is super fun to shake them off on your friend or yourself.

When it was rainy season, the happiest are the farmers and their families, which is most apt for sowing seeds. When I was young, parents suggest me to wear clothes but I frequently unseat the clothes, this might be due to immune system of my body.l the son of a farmer, use to adjust with an environment.I was living in the midst of nature-chirupping birds, winds, streams, waterfall ,rain, etc.Excess of rainfall is harmful for the farmers because it destroy the crops.Moderate rainfall was/is best for the crops.

  196. Memory back from childhood days make me nostalgic. My childhood goes back in later part of 1960s and early 70s. Rainy season at that time was my favourite season. I love to play and drenched in the first shower of rain. The sound of rain fills my heart with a different waves and emotion. The thundering sound and lightning makes me horrible, shivering and frightening. The nestled chirping birds around shunned down . We used to float paper boats in rain water and streams. We often hit and throw stones at the frogs in the puddles.
After heavy downpour and continuous raining for 3-4 days, the cultivated agricultural fields and the low lying areas where submerged and inundated with rain water . During this period epidemic like cholera, typhoid, malaria etc were common. It was also the season and time for cultivation of rice or paddy fields. For some days our parents were off the fields and again engaged in field works . At the end of rainy season and cultivation of rice or paddy field is over, we the Adi community celebrate the Solung festival. It is a harvesting festival to please the Goddess of Grainary (Kine -Nane) for good crops and bumper harvest. Now a days it is celebrated for 4 days from 1st September to 4th September every year.
During my childhood there were no road communication in our village that connected with neighbouring villages and to the far off market areas. There were zig zag foot path ways amidst the dense forest or jungle that too cut off during the rainy season.

  198. When I think of rainy days, it brings back very special memories for me. However, one memory is such which is the closest to my heart. I remember our teacher scheduled a test for us when it started raining heavily.

I woke up in the morning with the fear of taking the test for which I was not prepared. I prayed to God for the cancellation of the test. As I was getting ready, it started raining heavily. I got dressed up and went to school with my friends, and to our surprise, we came to know the school is closed today due to a rainy day.

I was on top of the world when I came to know about it. I returned with my friends and came back then undressed. Immediately, I changed into my home clothes to take bathe in the rain I played with my friends a lot in the rain; we made paper boats as well. After we were done, we saw that my mother was making pakoras. She served them burning hot with chili chutney. We relished the pakoras as we watched the rainfall. It was truly one of the most memorable rainy days of mine.
